In 2004, Coca-Cola Sabco bought a majority shareholding in Cambodia Beverage Company (CBC), expanding its territories into Asia and Indochina. CBC – which has one production plant with a capacity of 30-million cases in the country’s bustling capital Phnom Penh – was established in March 1993. However, Coca-Cola was first produced in the country as far back as 1958. CBC employs 298 people. Since 1993, over US$27-million has been invested in the Coca-Cola business in Cambodia.
